I tried a couple of different homemade cocoas this season before making my own. Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 2 cups powdered milk
  • 3/4 cups Special Dark cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup regular cocoa powder
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar (I use half powdered/ half granulated Splenda)
  • 3/4 – 1 cup creamer (to taste)
  • 1 cup chocolate chips or 20 Hershey’s kisses (If you use semi-sweet chips decreased Special Dark cocoa powder to 1/2  cup and increase regular cocoa powder to 1/2 cup)

Mix all together. Place into food processor or blender and pulse until uniform. Add 4-5 tablespoons to hot water or 3-4 tablespoons to warm milk.

Ingredients

Powdered milk

Special Dark Cocoa

Regular Cocoa

Creamer

Powdered Sugar

Splenda

Mix (I forgot to take a picture of adding the kisses, I LOVE it with kisses)

Pulse (I can only do half in the blender at a time)

Look how pretty!

I made my mom a low sugar version using Hershey’s sugar free chocolate chips (the whole bag) and all Splenda. You can make different flavors by using either flavored chips or creamer. Have fun and enjoy!
